Why?

Yesterday, Bluebird asked why God would make a spider as big as the one I referred to in my blog post. I am gratified to be able to answer her question directly, and I shall:

The box in the background says "Australian grown," so I'm guessing it's another kind of gigantic Australian spider. I doubt that there are brown recluses Down Under, or that they grow that big.
