Ummm...

So, let's recap the last year...

I invested in the stock market, and the stock market crashed.

I bought a house, and the housing market collapsed.

I got interested in Russian women, and Russia went to war with one of our best allies.

*sigh*

I'm starting to get a real "bad vibe" here... Maybe I'll make posts here before I embark on any big decisions, so people will have a warning!

Oh, G.P.! You are really making me lol and feel sad at the same time today!

Hey, it is good that you have a house. Unless you are trying to sell, it doesn't really matter if the market is crashed right now, right?

Don't know much about stocks, except Hub HAD to drop or 401K because $$ is just too tight right now...sad.

As for "Russian Women"... I can't say that I get that. What is wrong with American women?

:) See, men can be emotionally complex, too!

No, it doesn't matter about the housing market. I just thought it fit a rather ominous pattern!

I had to cash out my 401(k) last year when I moved. Make sure to save money for your taxes in November!!

What's wrong with American women? Well, the primary issue is that they don't like me. Most American women are more interested in someone who spends money on flashy clothes and cars than someone who invests in their health and learning; women from other countries are looking for men with self-improvement on their mind.
Further, even among those women who do like more serious men... they tend to get frustrated with the relationship when they realize that I'm not really Superman 24/7. Some times I get lazy, take a day off, forget to mow the lawn... it drives them buggy.

And then there's MY side. I can shop around in the U.S., where everyone interested in a 36-year-old man with a middle-income job is overweight, over 30, and usually already has multiple kids from multiple partners. Or, I can shop around the world and find a 24 year-old gymnast who thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread (which may be new to her).

Big answer for a small question, hm?

Ooops--I'm fixed on the election. Obviously, taxes are in April!

What you say about American women is very depressing (if it is true). I guess I can believe it... Seems like plenty of American men are also materialistic, care too much about physical beauty in women, care nothing for wisdom, and have multiple children with multiple partners as well! :P

Really, G.P. .... a 24 year old gymnast?? :/ ???

There have GOT to be regular, good, smart women, in their 30s, and without children, who would also think you were great, G.P.
I knew you were a great guy!

Which taxes do you mean? We always get $$ back in April! We have a lower middle-class income and 3 kids. We always save our tax returns to pay our OUTRAGEOUS property taxes... which are due in May and November.

The money that you pulled out of the 401(k) will be counted as taxable income--so you'll have income you haven't been taxed on yet and you may get moved into a higher tax bracket.

Oh. We didn't take money OUT of our 401 (k)... we just lowered the amount that was being taken out of the paycheck to be put IN... from 6% to 3%...

AhHA! You should be fine, then. I actually closed out a $14,000 401(k) when I moved... it hurt a LOT when February came around!

Yeah. That would hurt. I know some people do it for a downpayment on a house. Thankfully, the first house Hub and I owned had been his grandmas. It was sold to us cheap. It needed some fixing up. We had the $$$$ to fix it up because during the year we worked as houseparents at the group-home, we had no living expenses (we lived on site), and so we just saved all of the money we made... it was enough to fix up the cheap house when we bought it. When we sold that house, we made over $30,000 profit, after paying the realator and all, we had exactly enough to put 20% down on our currant home (my dad's home, which he sold us at less than its value). So anyway... we have been blessed. If not for those good blessings, we would probably be in an apartment.

Dude, you need a magic 8 Ball for those worldly events. I have one and it never steers me wrong...

I don't think picking up your heroin addiction is really going to help me... :)

American women.... you know, if getting a foreign bride was easier all marriages for American women would cease. Many marriages already in progress would be terminated and import models would replace the old. American women have NO CONCEPT of how other women act towards men. They dont run around scream power to the pussy and trample a mans soul.

Kind of like the auto industry in the 80's! :)
