The polar bear has been officially listed as an endangedered species. This means that not only will we have a lot more trouble accessing oil deposits in Alaska, but we are now legislating based on global warming alarmism--rather than what is actually happening. That is, the polar bear isn't actually endangered yet; it has been listed because enviornmental socialists are predicting that it will become endangered due to global warming.
The precedent has been set.
